After a devastating motorcycle accident severely injured her leg, Gifty Asafo was told she needed an amputation. She refused, determined to remain strong for her seven children. After five years bedridden and the loss of her husband, Gifty slowly learned to walk again and now farms cassava to provide for her family. Smile4mation is supporting Gifty with business assistance, education support for her children, mobility aid and plans to renovate their home.
